John Abaray

John’s primary area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice, products liability, class actions, motor vehicle and trucking accidents and other personal injury matters. John has handled cases against DePuy, Volkswagen, Stryker, as well as other individual defendants with defective products.

John Abaray is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. While attending the University of Cincinnati, he received dual degrees in International Affairs and Political Science and a minor in German. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, John also worked at a top products liability law firm in Cincinnati.

John is a graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. While in law school, he founded and was President of the Kentucky Student Justice Association, affiliated with the Kentucky Justice Association. He also was a member of the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law.

After graduating, John began his career as an attorney working at a Louisville personal injury firm representing all of Kentucky as well as handling products liability cases across the country. John is admitted in Kentucky and Ohio state courts, the Eastern and Western District of Kentucky Federal Courts, Western District of Michigan Federal Court and the Northern District of Texas Federal Court.

John was elected to the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Justice Association and has continued to serve in that capacity and is also a Member of the American Association for Justice, where he is a member of the Executive Board of the New Lawyers Division (under 10 years).

In his free time, John enjoys cheering for his Cincinnati Bearcats with his beautiful wife Ashley and active son Eddie, playing ice hockey, and smoking meats (especially chicken wings).

John recently achieved a jury verdict on a medical malpractice claim in Pike County, Kentucky for $750,000.00
