Nicholas Craddock

Partner, Abaray Craddock & Smith, PLLC

Nicholas “Nick” Craddock is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky, and magna cum laude graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where he finished in the top 10% of his class and served on the editorial board for the University of Louisville Law Review.

After graduating from law school, Nick began his career as an attorney working at a Louisville personal injury firm, where he litigated numerous personal injury cases for the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, from Paducah to Pikeville, and many places in between. He has experience litigating complex medical negligence, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, and car wreck cases.

Among his career highlights, Nick was the youngest attorney to achieve a verdict on behalf of a plaintiff in a medical negligence case in Kentucky in almost 3 decades, doing so as solo and lead counsel. This case also represented the first plaintiff’s verdict in a medical negligence case in this county in almost 2 decades.

Nick is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Kentucky, in addition to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Nick is also an elected member of the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Justice Association, has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 List, and has been named a Kentucky Super Lawyers Rising Star–an honor bestowed on no more than 2.5% of all practicing attorneys in Kentucky– multiple times.

Although not originally from Kentucky, Nick considers the Commonwealth his home. When not helping the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Nick lives in Louisville with his wonderful wife, Emily Craddock, also a practicing attorney, and their beautiful daughters. He enjoys cooking, traveling to meet new people and places, and loving (and lamenting) his Toronto Maple Leafs.
